You’ve chosen your home plan. And now what? Next, you’ll visit our Design Center to personalize your home with our luxury options.
Once you’ve chosen your personalized features, your new home’s blueprint will be finalized.
Your home’s blueprint is sent to our engineering team to have the structure engineered to comply with the most stringent codes in the US.
We handle obtaining all city permitting, a process that can take 90 to 120 days in southern California.
While awaiting permits, every item you previously selected for personalization is budgeted for and ordered.
Also, while awaiting the permits to begin construction, you’ll meet with your AB builder to review your construction planning.
Once permits are approved, your site is cleared, prepped and the foundation slab is poured – inspected by city officials, deputy inspectors and our Quality Control team.
Once foundation has passed our three-layer inspection process, framing for your new home will begin, where our quality control team will ensure your new home matches the plan.
When framing is complete, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other components such as windows, and exterior doors will be installed.
Once mechanical and infrastructure is completed, we will begin to button up the home starting with the first layer of stucco, and drywall.
At this point, the outside of your home is painted and the interior carpentry and trim is completed.
Once the interior trim is in place, painting the inside of your home begins, and all vanities are installed.
Wallpaper, mirrors and shower doors come next, completing your fixtures and finishes.
Next, the flooring is laid, and the fireplaces are tiled. Outdoor landscaping happens at this stage, too.
Gas and electric meters are installed, and your walk-though is scheduled. You’re so close now.
Finally! You get to inspect your new home, then it is thoroughly cleaned and ready for you to move in. Congratulations.
